1. Information we collect
When you buy from us
We sell audiobooks — and, in future, print editions — directly through this site. Payments are processed by Payhip, which handles the checkout and the card transaction.
We never see or store your card number, CVV, or bank details. Those go directly to Payhip and its payment processors.
We do receive, and keep, a record of your order: your name, email address, billing country, the items purchased, the amount paid, and the date. We need this to deliver what you bought, provide support, and meet our tax and accounting obligations.
For print orders, we also receive your shipping address, and we pass your name and delivery address to our print-on-demand partner (Bookvault or IngramSpark), who prints your book and ships it to you. They receive only what is needed to fulfil and deliver the order.
Deep Creek Publishers is the seller of record for these purchases. Payhip collects and remits EU and UK VAT on our behalf.

Collected automatically
Standard technical information: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, and time of visit. Plus cookies — see section 3.
What we never collect
Payment card details, government ID numbers, or precise location data. We do not knowingly collect information from children (section 9).

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers. We do not add customers to the newsletter without a separate opt-in.
3. Cookies and tracking
A cookie banner appears on your first visit. Non-essential cookies are set only if you accept them. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie preferences control on the site.
Strictly necessary — site function, checkout, and remembering your cookie choice. Cannot be switched off.
Statistics — Jetpack Stats (Automattic, Inc.) tells us how many people visit and which pages they read, in aggregate.
Marketing — the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, ID 3887570224874530, tells us when a visit followed one of our Facebook or Instagram ads. This sets Meta cookies and shares your IP address and activity on this site with Meta Platforms, Inc.
Links to Amazon carry Amazon Attribution tags, which tell us in aggregate how many sales followed our ads. These are not affiliate links — we earn no commission. Once you reach Amazon, Amazon’s privacy policy governs.
Gravatar (Automattic) may display an avatar beside your comment; a hashed version of your email is sent to do this.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser, though the checkout may not work correctly if you do.

Akismet checks comments for spam, sending the commenter’s IP address, email, username, comment content, and browser information to Automattic.
We may also disclose information where required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect someone’s safety.
5. Legal bases for processing (UK/EU visitors)
- Contract — processing your order, delivering your purchase, providing support, and sending any free content you specifically requested.
- Legal obligation — retaining sales and VAT records.
- Consent — non-essential cookies, advertising, and newsletter signup. Withdrawable at any time.
- Legitimate interests — site security, spam filtering, and aggregate readership analysis. We have weighed these against your rights.
6. International transfers
We are in the United States. Payhip is in the United Kingdom. If you are in the UK, EEA, or Switzerland, your information will be transferred to the United States, which lacks an equivalent data protection regime. Our providers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

Note that we cannot delete order records on request where tax law requires us to keep them. We can delete everything else.
8. Your rights
UK and EEA — you may access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our use of your personal information, receive it in portable form, and withdraw consent. You may complain to your national supervisory authority.
California — you may know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information under the CCPA. Use of the Meta Pixel may constitute “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising; rejecting Marketing cookies opts you out. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Other US states — Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon and others provide comparable rights. We extend the rights above to all US visitors regardless of state.

Global Privacy Control — we honour GPC signals as an opt-out of advertising cookies.
Newsletter — every email carries a one-click unsubscribe link.
9. Children
This site is intended for adult readers. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
10. Security
The site runs over HTTPS. Payment card data never touches our systems. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date above. Material changes affecting your rights will be announced on the site.
